Commercial Architectural Standards

I have pushed for better commercial architectural standards since I first joined the Council. While there was initial internal resistance, I kept pushing. We now have a much more comprehensive ordinance addressing commercial buildings. I believe it is a huge step in the right direction even though no legislation is ever perfect. We are certainly in a better place to help ensure new commercial buildings are more compatible with their surroundings and the character of Southern Pines.
