Holding All Council Meetings
Even before running for Council, I criticized the Council for failing to
hold a large number of their regular Tuesday meetings- the meetings where
the public is allowed to speak. Despite my argument, the practice of not holding
what I believed to be legally mandated meetings was defended publicly by more
than one member of the board. Since I have been on Council, we have held every
single regular monthly meeting. I should also note that out of well over 200
Council workshops, agenda meetings, and regular meetings,(usually 3 per month)
I believe I have only missed one workshop and one regular meeting.
